Safety Trainer

About the role

Joining the Training Coordination and Systems team, you will be delivering the training and assessment of staff and contractors who need access to our electrical or communications assets.

You will help to drive and maintain a competent, safe and compliant workforce through the delivery of training and skills assessments related to electrical safety and other designated safety training.

We have moved some of our training courses online and you will have the flexibility deliver them via Microsoft Teams whilst working from home, if that suits you.

Powerlink is geographically dispersed around Queensland and you will be required to visit our substation and or project sites to deliver training and assessments in person.

You will be engaged on a 12 month maximum term contract to help backfill and also cover increased demand.

About you

You come from a trade background and hold qualifications as an Electrical Fitter or Electrical Engineer. You have transitioned from a trade career to that of a facilitator or trainer and may have gained a certificate IV in Training and Assessment. This is preferred, though not essential and we will consider equivalent experience.

You are experienced and comfortable facilitating and assessing in technical electrical or electrical safety modules. You have operational experience in a HV environment too.

But most importantly, are your core values, with safety being a primary motivator for you. You consider yourself to be a safety leader and are interested in developing others for their betterment and or potential.
