Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Greg Combet, has announced the appointment of Michael D’Ascenzo as the newest board member of the Clean Energy Regulator (CER).

Mr D’Ascenzo is an internationally recognised tax administration and governance expert, known for his technical and design skills in tax law and superannuation.

“His strong background and significant standing in public administration, tax policy, and regulatory processes will prove a valuable asset to the Clean Energy Regulator.” Mr Cobet said.

Mr D’Ascenzo’s experience and qualifications will complement those of the other members of the Clean Energy Regulator. He replaces Jennie Granger, who has relocated to the United Kingdom.

Mr D’Ascenzo will join the CER team from April 2.
