Join our team at the Department of Energy and Public Works as a Program Scheduler and play a key role in shaping the future of our state.

We are looking to fill 2 permanent positions based in the Rockhampton and Maryborough Offices.

The Role:

As a Program Scheduler, you will support our Delivery teams in scheduling and coordinating projects/programs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, reviewing, and administering schedules using contemporary scheduling systems.
  • Collaborating with Apprentice Supervisors and the Department’s Apprenticeship team to schedule apprentices to projects/tasks.
  • Developing detailed schedules to support program delivery in collaboration with delivery teams.
  • Maintaining project/program status dashboards for accurate reporting.
  • Consulting and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve resourcing issues and escalate as necessary.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Experience in similar role
  • Construction background
  • Project management is advantageous
  • Must have permanent residence or citizenship in Australia (Evidence will be required as part of the application process)

Technical/Operational Expertise:

  • Ability to interpret complex information and develop schedules.
  • Experience in construction scheduling and project delivery.
  • Relevant project or construction management experience with advanced data processing skills.
