The Opportunity

ActewAGL Retail has a phenomenal opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual with a high level business and financial acumen and strong analytical skills to take on the role of a Commercial Analyst.

About the Retail Commercial Branch

The Branch provides commercial support and management reporting for ActewAGL Retail. The team provides commercial and financial analysis to Retail executives in order to drive stronger commercial outcomes on business initiatives.

About your Role

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Analyst, you will undertake financial reviews, develop business models, prepare forecasts and budgets and support the wider Retail team.

Some Key Specifics

You will:

  • Collate the annual budgets, quarterly and five-year including documenting all assumptions
  • Assess strategic opportunities for financial and commercial viabilityAssist and contribute to the following:

- Preparation and analysis of business cases

- Evaluation of existing and new projects for commercial viability, including financial analysis

- Development of KPIs and performance reporting to support management reporting and performance analysis

- Develop and review Retail contractual arrangements from a Commercial perspective.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Formal qualifications in Accounting or a Business related discipline
  • Demonstrated financial and commercial experience within a medium to large scale operation
  • Sound to analyse financial data and information to help make logical and rational judgements
  • Sound ability to evaluate existing and new projects for financial and commercial soundness.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in Advanced Microsoft Excel
