$95,745 plus 15% superannuation

 ActewAGL’s Finance and Facilities Division is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our Evoenergy Commercial and Finance Branch as a Project Accountant.

About the Role

The individual will assist in financial project management and analysis for the Evoenergy business, and includes the preparation of monthly project results, reporting and variance analysis, Capital in Progress management and analysis, project tracking, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and assisting in the financial management of critical resources across these activities.  

Your Key responsibilities:

  • Perform project variance analysis reporting services to the Commercial Manager & Financial Controller
  • Prepare a range of key EOM project reports, ongoing project variance analysis for Project Managers
  • Assist the team with forecasting and budgeting cycles
  • Provide on the ground project management support & reporting for Evoenergy
  • Ensure project lifecycle stage gates are adhered to and documented
  • Assist with managing CIP balances and project closure process
  • To support the objectives of the Evoenergy Commercial & Finance team
  • Investigation and analysis of unusual items and/or variances arising in projects, and the initiation of corrective action as required
  • Assist in the development of revenue, expenditure, capital and cash flow forecasts for the Networks business
  • Monitor pricing and costing of ancillary business and external business projects
  • Management and analysis of Capital in Progress
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of quality systems and procedures as appropriate
  • Special assignments and reviews may be required from time to time and duties may be varied without notice at the discretion of the Financial Controller and/or Commercial Manager

Well, if you are equipped with the following:

  • Tertiary accounting qualifications along with demonstrated experience using Oracle R12, TM1 and excel
  • Proven experience in analysing project performance and preparation of project budgets, forecasts and a suite of project reports on a regular basis in large organisation
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and well organised in a fast paced work environment
  • Driven and supportive of continuous improvement in relation to business processes and systems
