NOPSEMA is Australia’s Offshore Energy Regulator for health and safety, infrastructure integrity and environmental management for offshore energy activities in Commonwealth waters.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Information Governance Officer to join our Information Technology and Data Team at our Perth Office on an ongoing (permanent) or non-ongoing (fixed-term) basis for an initial period of up to 18 months, with possible extension, dependent upon NOPSEMA’s business requirements. 

In this role you will manage NOPSEMA’s information management systems and provide advice and guidance to the organisation to ensure the effective running of NOPSEMA’s enterprise document and record management systems and that supporting applications are maintained.  You will also be responsible for leading the Information Teams’ strategic projects including the implementation of information management solutions and business process improvements.

The role requires a candidate that possesses considerable experience of providing high-level advice on the interpretation and implementation of information management governance policies and procedures and the ability to communicate effectively while delivering system and policy training to NOPSEMA employees.

The successful candidate will be highly approachable and a strong team player. You will be flexible to shift tasks and manage priorities to deliver on operational needs. You will demonstrate an understanding of managing records and data in an Australian government or offshore energy sector environment
