Evoenergy have a new and exciting opportunity for a Group Manager Strategy and Operations to join their team!

The opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager Evoenergy, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a diverse team who focus on long term asset and network planning, network performance and access, regulatory processes, monitoring compliance and initiating corrective action, and preparing Evoenergy to operate in a predominately "renewable energy" future.

As the leader of this group, you will:

• Lead the development and maintenance of long-term Asset Management Plans to ensure optimal performance of assets in a changing environment
• Manage the operations (Control Centre) of the electricity network by monitoring and maintaining network integrity, facilitating safe network access processes and management of future demand response activities
• Lead the development of network optimisation projects and programs.
• Develop environmental plans, strategies, policies and procedures and monitor compliance.
• Lead asset Commissioning and Governance
• Develop and maintain technical, engineering, construction and data standards
• Manage the preparation of annual regulatory reports

You will need to have:

• Extensive experience at a senior manager level, in addition to a mix of operational and technical experience in electricity distribution, and strong business insight skills.
• Solid technical and regulatory understanding of a distribution utility relating to engineering regulated electrical distribution network
• Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking and ability to develop optimised operational and tactical plans
• In depth understanding of trends and changes impacting the utility industry
• Understanding of the technical, economic and legal factors involved in the investment decisions in a distribution utility
• Understanding of IT/OT Systems management
• Proven ability to effectively lead and manage a highly technical team
• Experience in maintaining a safe work environment
• Proven high level communication skills and in particular the ability to effectively liaise with partners.
