About the role

A position has become available within Council’s Environment and Sustainability branch for an enthusiastic and motivated person with demonstrated experience implementing Environment and Sustainability projects and programs. The successful applicant will work as part of a team committed to improving and protecting the environment. Salary for this position is based on skills, experience and qualifications and will range from $73,437.00pa to $85,186pa + access to a leaseback vehicle +super.

About You

In addition to holding the relevant qualifications in a related discipline you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in scoping and project managing sustainability focused projects or programs;

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and promote positive environmental outcomes with various stakeholder groups e.g. industry, business, schools and community;

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to deliver outcomes in specified timeframes and

  • Awareness of legislation and government policy relating to resource efficiency, energy management and climate change.
