Due to growth and expansion, WaterNSW is looking for a strong Manager Construction Services to join their team based at the CBD moving to our Parramatta office in 2017.

This is no ordinary role. The newly created Manager Construction Services role is a key driver to provide advanced construction management expertise at a portfolio level & to lead a multi-disciplinary field based construction supervision and surveillance team.

About the position…

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team. A key part of your role will be to ensure the successful construction and on-site management of a circa $100 million annual portfolio of infrastructure projects, including the establishment and ongoing development of a WaterNSW construction management system.

The role would suit an experienced strong senior manager who has worked within complex businesses, has participated in high level decision making and can approach problems from a corporate perspective. You will be successfully navigating the construction phase of projects through environmental conditions of consent.

Your exceptional strategic, technical and leadership skills will enable you to quickly build credibility and confidence with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be accountable for on-site performance of WaterNSW personnel and contractors in relation to corporate safety, environmental and quality outcomes.

About you…

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management or Engineering
• Extensive leadership experience in delivering construction projects.
• Demonstrated capability in large project delivery with extensive end to end experience in construction projects, bespoke contract development, contract management and tender evaluation procedures.
• In depth understanding of risk management and its role in managing project fundamentals such as time, cost, quality, safety and the environment.
