Power System Engineer
Science and Engineering Professional Band 2
Packaged remuneration range $92 626 to $115 439*
Science and Engineering Professional Band 3
Packaged remuneration range $127 325 to $150 887*
This is an ongoing position.
As a valued member of the Operations Planning team, your engineering expertises will assist in the determination of the operational technical envelope for the Northern Territory power systems for the safe, secure, and reliable operation as well as the development and publishing of various operational plans and reports to ensure compliance with various Technical Codes.
You will need a demonstrated knowledge of electrical power systems and equipment used for the production, transmission and distribution of electrical power, including an understanding of relevant regulated power system industry, Market and Rules.
We are looking for an Engineer with proven organisational skills including the ability to assess and manage priorities to ensure deadlines are met, with good analytical, judgement and problem solving skills.
Experience in power system operations and tertiary qualifications for power system engineering is essential.
Alternatively we are looking for a young engaged graduate engineer with excellent skills and the enthusiasm and attitude to learn and contribute in the planning domain of an operational real time control room environment.
Level of appointment will depend on qualifications, skills and experience.
