The opportunity

Icon Water are looking for a motivated and safety conscious, Health and Wellbeing Business Partner to join their team. You will partner with the business and provide advice, guidance and support regarding health and wellbeing matters and improvement initiatives.

About the role:

  • Develop and deliver organisational wide initiatives and projects and provide leadership, support and advice in areas such as early intervention and injury prevention, psychosocial health, physical health including nutrition and exercise;
  • Work closely with the General Manager People, Health and Safety to develop and implement a health and wellbeing plan underpinning the People, Health and Safety strategy.
  • Engage with key Executive health program sponsors and other stakeholders to drive best practice health and wellbeing leadership and initiatives.
  • Engage with our field and plant staff to identify hazardous manual tasks and provide musculoskeletal injury expertise.
  • Analyse incident, injury and hazard data, develop and implement plans and initiatives that more effectively manage health related hazards.
  • Facilitate education and awareness sessions to the business relating to the core programs that make up the health and wellbeing program.

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification, preferably in an allied health or safety discipline.
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of the musculoskeletal system, specifically related to injury prevention and rehabilitation.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing health and wellbeing initiatives for an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience of contemporary WHS practice and processes.
  • Highly developed project management skills and experience.
  • Well-developed written communication skills, with demonstrated experience and skills in writing professional reports and/or policy and procedures.
  • Knowledge of WH&S Act 2011 and supporting regulatory framework.
