We are looking for a proactive and driven Technical Services Officer to join the CSIRO ‘Building Simulation, Assessment and Communications’ Group within our Energy business unit. 

In this key technical support role, you will use your exceptional technical, organisational and stakeholder management skills to efficiently manage a range of member support services for the ‘Liveability Real Estate’ commercial training program. The program involves many users, and focuses on training real estate agents to recognise, appraise and market energy efficiency and other sustainability features in dwellings. 

You will be undertaking a wide variety of tasks, and will be using best practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. 

Your duties will include:

  • Running the ‘Liveability Real Estate’ program including customer liaison, contract management, maintaining and updating CSIRO project intellectual property and business development activities.
  • Managing membership fees, royalties & affiliate fees, and other project costs & budgets for the ‘Liveability Real Estate’ program.
  • Liaising with clients to determine their needs, providing technical support, and problem solving in a prompt & constructive manner.
  • Assisting with the planning and running of CSIRO’s biennial Australian Residential Energy Rating Conference.
  • Preparing, copywriting, editing and publishing CSIRO’s bi-annual Energy Rating News newsletter.
  • Planning, programming, and supporting up to 6 webinars per year.

Salary: AU$85K – AU$96K plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:

  • A relevant trade certificate/diploma/bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in Real Estate, residential energy efficiency, energy rating, training provision and/or event planning.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the field of residential energy efficiency.
  • Experience in managing a membership program or organisation, particularly in the real estate or property sector including:
    • Managing member enquiries
    • Assisting with the use of online systems and processes
    • Identifying process improvements and implementing change processes
  • Experience interpreting technical information for public communication.
  • Experience in the delivery of online webinars for large audiences (300-500)

Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian/New Zealand Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident currently residing in Australia. 

The successful applicant will be required to obtain and provide a National Police Check or equivalent.
