The City of Stonnington has a fantastic permanent full time opportunity for a passionate and experienced Sustainable Environment Officer.
As the Sustainable Environment Officer, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance pertaining to energy efficiency, water quality, water conservation, resource management, data management and sustainable procurement for Council. Additionally, you will promote and achieve outcomes for Council’s Sustainable Environment Strategy, monitor and report on Council’s key sustainability data as well as support Council staff to incorporate sustainability into Council policies, plans and decision-making.
As the successful applicant you will have a tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental management or other related discipline; or relevant experience within the environmental field, demonstrated project management capabilities including skills in priority setting, time management and project planning. Additionally, you will have a strong ability to establish effective communication networks both internally and externally, have the initiative and independence to innovate and explore continuous improvement opportunities and be able to work positively and collaboratively with a small team.
