The University of Sydney is Australia’s first university and has an outstanding global reputation for academic and research excellence, employing over 7600 permanent staff, supporting over 60,000 students.

Applications are invited for the appointment of a Professor/Associate Professor in the area of water resources and environmental fluids engineering in the School of Civil Engineering, within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies. We are seeking candidates with an outstanding record of research and scholarship with proven and substantial research expertise in environmental fluid engineering areas of interest to the school, including, but not limited to, fluid mechanics, wind engineering, hydraulics, hydrology, water-soil-bio interactions, buoyancy-driven flows, water resources engineering, and coastal engineering.

As the successful candidate, you will have an outstanding track record of research and scholarship, and will bring leadership expertise in environment-related areas including, but not limited to, geophysical flows, water and land resources management, watershed processes, and energy efficiency, and be capable of linking physical and biological processes with innovative approaches.
