An exciting temporary, 24 months, opportunity now exists for a passionate and experienced Senior Engineer in Secondary Systems to join Powerlink’s Secondary Systems Design teams.

The Senior Engineer - Secondary Systems is a technical specialist in all areas of Secondary systems and delivers Secondary Systems design services for Powerlink, including technical guidance, advice and support to the members of the respective design- and project groups and other Powerlink staff as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering and eligible for Corporate Membership of Engineers Australia
• Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) in a relevant field of expertise.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience in developing professional design staff
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in providing Secondary Systems design and engineering support services on large engineering projects in a High Voltage electrical infrastructure design environment, preferably transmission.
• Extensive knowledge of HV & EHV secondary systems and circuitry associated protection schemes, LV AC and DC distribution design
• The ability to deliver and technically supervise detailed design for secondary systems and protection design for approved projects and tasks including the preparation of scoping and estimating documents.
