Your new team

Our HSE Governance and Systems Team work together to provide expert advice and guide a program of systems development, monitoring, assurance and improvement to ensure that the HSE Management System is fit for purpose, compliant and continuously improved to enable the business to achieve a high performing HSE culture.

Having recently developed our brand new HSE Management System, we are now working through the implementation and embedment stages with a focus on continuous improvement and a vision for a living and learning system.

To effectively align our systems to business requirements, we engage with business leaders as well as our Communities of Practice, building strong relationships, getting to know their unique needs, and applying their feedback to make enhancements.

With a collaborative approach to safety, you will identify opportunities within the safety management system to make sure it supports safer, more efficient and better ways to deliver work, and play a key role in our assurance processes, focused on learning and improvement.

This role is based in our Virginia office full time, however, you will also have the opportunity to travel throughout Queensland occasionally to see the HSE management system in operation.

About you

Your background in Safety Management Systems development and improvement will give you the foundation that you need to thrive in this role.

You will have a degree-level qualification in Health and Safety, Engineering or Law, or a lesser qualification with extensive experience in safety and/or systems management. Lead Auditor qualifications would also be an advantage.

With a relationship-focused, business partnering approach, you have had previous success in identifying, interpreting and applying health and safety regulations and legislation within a complex and high risk business environment.
