What will you do?

Aurecon has been involved in some of the most influential energy projects in Australia in recent years. In this position you will join our fast-growing Energy business in Western Australia, where you will play a key part part in expanding the business and helping clients understand and deliver their future energy projects.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • At least 5-10 years post-graduation experience in a role with close contact with the power industry or power project developer/owner/operator
  • Knowledge and experience with the development and/or implementation of renewable and thermal power projects, including project feasibility and life cycle cost modelling
  • Knowledge and understanding of power generation technologies including; gas turbines, reciprocating engines, solar PV, wind, hydro, biomass, large scale batteries, etc (experience with multiple technologies preferred) Experience with Thermoflow and/or PVSyst software packages would be beneficial
  • Understanding of National Electricity Market, West Australian Energy Market and/or islanded grid networks
  • Understanding of the power project development lifecycle including; development approval, environmental assessment, contracting strategies, procurement processes, commercial agreements, financing, etc

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.
